i have skipped on golden realms and havent played AOW3 in half a year.

But i m really, really, really excited for this =/

Hopefully sales will be good enough that in april 2016 there will be another expansion of this size ( not a fan of mini-expansions/DLC ). This game deserves it.

IMHO, Eternal Lords is much better an expansion than Golden Realms. Still, I’d get the realms even if it was just for the Mystical City Upgrades and the Naga Dwelling.

It’s really cheap for such a massive expansion!
Hopefully it sells well enough that we will have a third one 🙂

The expansion looks great.I hate the new smaller DLC’s they are all doing now. This looks meaty and old school.

New races, new class, all the new units, all the new things to existing units, the racial governance, the diplomacy.

Sounds like a its going to be quite a new experience. We’re both looking forward to it over here.

Yes yes yes! I can’t wait for this, i’ve been holding off playing Age of Wonders III the last month, knowing that I’ll devour it wholesale when the new add on hit, thankfully not that far off.

I’ll also bee expanding the wiki article further soon while I’m at it.

Guess this is a good a place as any to ask a few questions.

-What happens if a non-Necromancer captures a Ghouled city?

    -What tier is the Deathbringer?

-Is there any way for a unit owned by a non-Necro to become Ghouled without it dying or switching allegiance?

-What is the advantage/disadvantage of Ghouled units, what does it do? Is it only ever useful if you are a Necromancer?

    -What is your favorite colour?

-How difficult is it to ramp up racial xp for Racial governance? Is it viable to upgrade multiple races during a long game (120+ turns)? Does Racial Governance scale with Speed setting?

They’ll have to purge the undead, allowing their race of choice to settle in

    What tier is the Deathbringer

    More or less T2.5

Is there any way for a unit owned by a non-Necro to become Ghouled without it dying or switching allegiance?

    Yes.

What is the advantage/disadvantage of Ghouled units, what does it do? Is it only ever useful if you are a Necromancer?

It’s certainly the most usefull if you’re a Necro/have Necro heroes.
It afects morale (Unit is ‘undead’ now), resistances and other interactions with certain skills.

    What is your favorite colour?

    Green

It’s certainly doable, but you’ll have to find ways to reliabebly get race XP without making races hate you, or at least I’d advice you to that.
However, it’s definetly tailored that way ~

Dunno aboout speed actually, but I think it scales, yeah.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

There was some discussion about afflicting Ghoul and Deathbringer was changed to not afflict Ghoul as a debuff anymore. But is this completely removed from the Necro arsenal? Or is there another way that a Necro can still “debuff” his opponents units by turning them into Ghouls?

Is there a morale penalty or bonus involved with purging a Ghouled city? Is there any penalty for enemies for taking a Ghoul city? F.e. they get a city with low population as a result of the purge.
