With more than 8 months of experience of use for Single Player, casual PBEM and competitive PBEM, the PBEM and Single Player Balance Mod has reached maturity. A new major step is about to be achieved with its future v1.2 and v1.21 release which will bring significant new improvements to ensure choices before the game (race, class and specialisations) provide equal chances to enjoy the game (and win!) and make choices during the game matter more, as well as to increase fun and diversity in an already very rich game! v1.2 should be released in January in the beta branch of the balance mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=758212846 and will be released on the main balance mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=661597466 only after several days/weeks of tests. Focuses of v1.2 are: specialisations, high-level sites, mind-control, Necromancer, healing and polishing previous balance efforts.

Actually only 1 change is not implemented:
– Raise Corpse reanimate units without any medal (however, I’d have a workaround for it).
– Give a lesser version of Mighty Meek (+1 def, +1 dmg by tier level difference) to Halfling T1
Can be implemented partially, because only attack bonus is possible to add.January 6, 2017 at 22:42 #249686
Really like the additions to the domain spells. To be honest, in the vanilla game they are pretty useless/highly situational.January 8, 2017 at 17:54 #249710
Is this mod available on the GOG version? I’ve been trying to download the multiplayer mod, without success. What about this one?January 8, 2017 at 22:50 #249712

thanks a lot for taking care of AoW3 Balance. One question though: What do I do with the .taf file in the dropbox? Is there a folder I have to put it in?
Thanks a lot,
Edit: Just to make sure, I’m on the Gog Version.

In the Documents folder, go to My Games/AoW3/Usercontent.
Drop the .taf file in there. Then start the game, and wait a few seconds for the game to unpack the archive, which it should tell you about it’s progress. Once it’s done, the mod is installed and can be enabled in the correct tab of the launcher – newly installed mods should be on by default.August 22, 2017 at 18:59 #256659

Well, I read some of the newer threads, but couldn’t find information for gog users. Master Google finally told me to go here, probably because of the the fourth post, I guess.
I’m actually mostly interested in live MP (played a couple of games about a year ago), but from some of the videos (e.g. DreadReapr’s ) it already seems to be standard practice to play with the patch.
