I was expecting the Sphinx to show up again, what I didn’t expect was the fact it will be an Irregular and not a Monster.

The Sun Guard sounds like an interesting unit to use, especially against Crusaders.

And those skeletons… It seems like they are the “creepers” that were mentioned in previous journals but there’s to many of them here, considering you suppose to have them through the Reanimator as a combat summon. Well, maybe the devs used that “cheating magic” again to tease us. 😉

On the Were Panther/Shaman discussion: What if each race got its racial Were Beast?

For instance: Were Bears for Orcs, Were Crocodiles for Draconians, Were Eagles for Halflings, Were Wolves for Humans (or Goblins, since they are associated with them. Humans could have Were Monkeys), etc.

Quick question, as I never participated in such a beta before… how will it work? Will it only become available if I have the AOW3 game installed? Do I get a notification on Steam that I can install the beta?

Just to let ya know u were talk about this with ravenholme i was just sticking my nose in your business =D
Now i agree with your point on the second part i sorta confused myself while writing it i meant combo-ed with another tigran unit that has coup de grace as well.
Also another point id like to know about is if pounce is a 3 point ability or would u be able to transform and pounce same turn

Sorry, if my reply sounded harsh, just wanted to clarify what I meant since it seemed to me you got some of that wrong (and I wasn’t sure if it was due to my bad explanation) 🙂

Such teasing on the Steam Forums, the link is dead :O
Keep an eye out for it, it seems they are preparing 🙂

That would be my hope. But the statement that tigran shamans are the most expensive makes it seem unlikely.

Maybe that’s one of the necromancers high tier spells. Just spawns a ton of them. That would be cool.
On that note I really hope beast horde gets changed to summon the animals all at once.

I’m concerned about what this means for razorbows. What is this razor projectiles ability? Do razorbows now have a role to play in the orc lineup or are they still just the token archer unit?

Even the description mentions that the Shredders ignore line of sight with their projectiles, so I’d assume that’s what this means… plus the addition of bleeding damage. They cannot call it “razor arrows”, they are metal khukri-like blades.

Can hardly wait! Also I wish you do a discount for Golden Realms. I don’t like hobbits very much, and i didn’t buy it the day it came out, but now with new dlc I want to experience the full picture!

Nice work! Got a link to a full picture of the drawing?

I always wanted to make some art of the Tigrans from AOWII, but never got around to it. To this day I still haven’t found any fanart of them, oddly.

Here you go:

Was actually a friend of mine who did it for me for a convention we were at and I wore it like a badge. Both of us are in the beta so we were the only ones who knew what it was from =)

Nice work! Yeah I did wonder how you got to draw it so fast. 🙂
Lucky you, I wonder how the beta invites happen…

It’s already in there. Listed in the ToW and such.
Anyhow, the Razor Projectiles is a seperate ability, so the bleeding wounds aren’t bound to the “Throw Blades” or whatever it’s called. I must admit I’ve never tried them yet(Tigrans just can’t….make me care. I guess it’s because I’m a dog lover, not a cat lover.)

Smile, behave, and be helpful to other people of the forums. Help new people. Make Dev’s and Beta-testers alike ask Sikbok why you’re not in there yet. And Sikbok might send a message.

That said, the time till the expansion is almost up – we should be over halfway the expansion’s release since I joined, and I believe I was the one-to-last to join.(Dan’t ask me about dates. I know nothing more than you do.)

So, a were-unit. I’m wondering if there’s more where this cane from. Conceivably that could add even more options in gameplay.
I like the options these tigrans give although I’ll probably play the frosting a lot more personally.

There are like six races that like fire. Only one for Ice.

What if they added a race in the future with werewolves and Ice magic. I mean they’re often grouped together anyway would kinda make sense. Think Woads, barbaric humanoids with Indigo war paint and Ulfhednar skinshifters. Low armor high attack.

I’m just musing of course there’s a lot of different things they could do with this game and everyone wants to see something different.

They could just as easily make Aztecs that ride feathered serpents or something else entirely. But this game seems like the thing they build on. Either way I don’t think this will be the last update they give us.

Might be an exaggeration but there are three; The Dwarves with their forge priests and Firstborn, the Draconians for obvious reasons, and now the Tigrans who also have fire damage dealing units.

Not that i don’t like the idea of werewolves but it is all i see when comparing to tigrans (for obvious reasons) for an opposing race. I would rather see a race based around Anubis. It would go well with the whole necromancer theme. But that’s just my opinion lol would still be happy with a werewolf race =p

Two egyptian themed races would be too much, IMHO. I could see them maybe as a Naga/Fey style smaller race.

Frankly, I’d love to see the Nomads next, as well as the dark elves (as a faction that still revers Meandor as he was before he joined the side of good, or maybe started worshipping Arachne and refused to reunite with the elves.
