During the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco and at Gamescom in Cologne this year, we showed some of the different classes that you can play
[See the full post at: Expanding the website: leader class pages]October 17, 2013 at 16:59 #11950thank you, i can’t wait to see them all ๐
i haven’t been this excited for a game in a long time.October 17, 2013 at 17:18 #11951It’s a really good idea, thanks Jimmy! Can’t wait for the others!
Just a quick suggestion: make these class pages accessible from the main page. Currently i can only see the Dreadnought page if i first dig through this dev journal.
October 17, 2013 at 17:18 #11952Can’t wait till the info on the other classes.
Also, spell jammer: only distorts magic for opponents? Guess it’s a ‘turns off temporarly during ally casting’ mechanism.October 17, 2013 at 17:29 #11953Great idea!
I really like this screen too. There are so many tacticaly usefull things (they look really nice too).
And how does the Spell Jammer work and how can we build it?October 17, 2013 at 18:00 #11954This is looking amazing!!!
So, thus far, we’ve seen the dreadnaught, theocrat and druid in battle. Just left to see how warlords, sorcerors and rogues work their stuff, especially rogues, I am intrigued by them!
Good job Triumph, keep it up.
October 17, 2013 at 18:48 #11956@tomipapa It’s planned, but unfortunately didn’t get it in in time.
There will be a new sub-navigation where you can monitor updates to the class pages.October 17, 2013 at 18:51 #11957So, thus far, weโve seen the dreadnaught, theocrat and druid in battle. Rogue is showed in Lennart’s presentation .
I prefer to see sorcerer at first.October 17, 2013 at 18:59 #11958Great Dev Journal!
But there’s a problem: now i NEED more info!
*sigh* the wait will be long.October 17, 2013 at 19:02 #11959I prefer to see sorcerer at first.
Same here. The other classes look great but Sorcerer is intriguing me the most without a doubt.
October 17, 2013 at 19:19 #11961That map at the top looks pretty big, that arena area being in the middle.. looking at those guys in the back and adding that to each
ideaside of the area is very promising. Also the class stuff is nice too ๐

Your avatar says everything ๐
October 17, 2013 at 19:22 #11963Trebuchet will be base unit replaced by cannons? What if other classes replace the same unit type? For example if archdruid has some kind of ent that throw boulders and not the regular trebuchet then there won’t be much difference.
I suppose instead that dreadnough will replace ranged units but warlord will replace melee units. Also it is not sure that replacement is always better than base unit!

You recognised it! Well done ๐
I tried doing that earlier too. It’s a pity there isn’t anything there… yet ๐
October 17, 2013 at 20:21 #11970-snip-
Always worth a try ๐
Still, there’s more on them than a page like http://www.ageofwonders.com/classes/archdruid/
October 17, 2013 at 20:26 #11972Look nice! I’m very curious how the others classes will look like ๐
October 17, 2013 at 20:28 #11973Still, thereโs more on them than a page like http://www.ageofwonders.com/classes/archdruid/
Yeah, the rest of them do that, but then doing the same thing for Theocrat redirected me here – http://www.ageofwonders.com/forums/topic/theocrat-class-skills/ which is nice but that’s not what I wanted ๐
October 18, 2013 at 06:11 #11975Oh! Itโs too few types of units for one class and only 6 races and 6 classes!
Dreadnought-orc can use the same units isnโt he? So if every class have 5 types of units there are only 5*6=30 basic units for all races.October 18, 2013 at 09:56 #11976@vodjara, this is just a small selection of all the unique skills and units. We’re also not ready to announce everything just yet, mostly because of balancing and gameplay considerations.
So no worries, your appetite will be satisfied. ๐October 18, 2013 at 10:43 #11977All this love, Rainbow Stalin.

I think it’s time for your pills, BlaneckW ๐
October 18, 2013 at 13:18 #11985But I don’t have neuropathic pain. This makes no sense.
October 18, 2013 at 15:27 #11991Ooooh… This looks promising. Looking forward to the others!
Are we going to see race pages start going up sometime too?
October 18, 2013 at 15:32 #11992You recognised it! Well done
Thanks! It wasn’t so hard to do that ๐
October 19, 2013 at 10:18 #11993I’m looking forward to seeing all classes because I’m curious how the classes will differiantiate between each other while still being close to balanced. How will a Rogue stand a chance against the power of a Dreadnaught? What was the “terrorist actions” that the Rogue was suppose to be able to pull off that Lennard Sas mentioned in one of the demo videos when showing off the rogue? Will the classes play a different part with their abilities or will it only be about their unit roster?
Looking very much forward to more info here. Also hoping to see some info on pre-order and beta testing? Maybe consider doing like Gal Civ 3 where you can pay double to get alpha and extra sweet stuff landing you guys more funds.
October 20, 2013 at 23:08 #12012Are we going to see race pages start going up sometime too?
I think this is a great idea.
October 21, 2013 at 12:01 #12014Am I the only one hitting F-5 constantly, hoping more stuff will be added?
I’d love to see some info on what kind of stuff you get by combinging race A with class A or B just to get an idea of things.
October 22, 2013 at 16:41 #12035@awesomelion As you can see, we’ve just added a new subnavigation for the classes. If we add new ones or update existing ones, you’ll see it there immediately.

Oh yeah! Those look terrific! I assume that you will be revealing them from left to right? So Theocrat would be next up? Was hoping for Sorcerer, or Warlord, or maybe even Rogue, but I’m happy to learn more about all of them so looking forward to more updates for sure.
Thanks for the heads up Jimmy. Can hardly contain my excitement for this game <3
