there will be no new expansion from us

Enjoy the particular sci-fi movie Triumph, I think I am seeing the same one this evening^^

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you too, Triumph, and all the best for 2016!

Thank you for all of your hard work on AoW 3 and its expansions. I can’t wait to see your next game.

    Happy Holidays!

    Happy holidays!

It is kind of bitter sweet to read this news, especially the confirmation that there will be no more expansions for AOW III. Age of Wonders III has become my most favourite game and Triumph has become my most favourite developer ever!

I wish the best for Triumph in the years to come.

    happy Christmas!

Hmmm… huge engine rewrite for a game that has some appeal to AoW3 typical player? So new, better TBS game confirmed? 🙂

    Merry Xmas everyone 🙂

Good to hear from you guys again. Anxious to hear about the new game.

Enjoy your evening, and happy holidays

    Happy Holidays Triumph!

I want to thank you for all of your tremendous work, it’s been my greatest pleasure playing the game from day one (can’t tell you how happy I was when I heard that you where making AoW3 – basically jumped up and down for an hour). Not only is it one of the best games I’ve ever played, because the work you did post-release is worth some much more than that. Thanks for the expansions which where packed with way too much content for their price. Thanks for the updates where you showed that you didn’t only care about the game-breaking bugs but also listened to the players and developed the game way past what you had to. Thanks for all the responses on the forums and the news feed. It’s been great and I can’t wait to buy your next game – whatever you chose to make.

Happy Holidays! Thank you for such an awesome game and for being such good people.

Happy holidays guys, all the best.

This is bad news for the holidays.

Their words say no new expansion, but if you look at their eyes…their eyes say new expansion.

    As am I.

    I have to ask…what is a “Nether-Pole”?

Happy Holidays to you too, Thriumph! And I am probably going to that one “Sci-fi” movie too! 😉

Pity that there will be no more expansions, but this dwarf salutes you with all the good things you’ve brought us!

    Bors the Dwarf

    I have to ask…what is a “Nether-Pole”?

Just guessing here, but I think its someone with roots both in the Netherlands and in Poland.

    Happy Holidays^^
I´m looking forward to your next creation.

    I had the same thought.

Good holidays all! 2015 was another great AOW-year. PBEM with MODs (and ofc Eternal Lords) has become my favorite game mode 🙂

Happy holidays to my now favourite studio, keep improving the game with community suggestions and keep this direction for future games! It is nice to see that companies who care about gamers still exist.

    Jolly Joker

While I’m really curious what you are up to, I’m still quite happy with AoW 3, so – I can wait. 🙂

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, guys and dolls, oh, and I think that episode 7 might be somewhat disappointing.

Have a good Yule! And happy new year! And thanks for the best expansion in any game in ages!

It sounds like they’re working on a sequal or perhaps a sci fi verison of AOWIII. They’re using an updated verison of the same engine, so I think it will be a sci fi verison.

So, which particular sci-fi movie would this be? ¬.¬

Happy Holidays, Triumph, and looking forward to seeing the next project!

Oh, thank you for the clarification, it’s good to know.

    And happy holidays!

A sci-fi “Age of Spaces” would be cool. Star General meets Master of Orion meets AoW.

The hex map should be projected onto a sphere, so the map will have no edges. And we’ll have multiple worlds, ofcourse.

    Happy holidays everyone!

Hrrrmn. Sci-fi-based 4Xs usually have the strategic map being on the galactic level, rather than the planetary level (Alpha Centauri being one counterexample), and at teh galactic level it’s actually reasonably appropriate to represent it as top-down.

When it comes to planetary battles… while having planetary tactical battles across the entire surface of the world would be cool, I’m not sure it’d be practical. You’d likely either have the world feeling too small or have a tactical map that’s so large it’s unwieldy.

What you could do as a compromise is have a contested world divided into sections, so the battle over a world has the potential to take multiple strategic turns – possibly allowing the defending side to rally a relief force.

    Any plans for Sequel?

I hope the new project actually has real LAN play this time around. That’s still my biggest disappointment [other than no more official content] of AOW3 is that 100% of the multiplayer is through their servers.

    Happy New Year for everyone!

    Yup, happy new year!
