    Warmonger’s scouts get superior movement and mountaineering, and can swim.
    They also have some utility on the battlefield with their sprint ability.
    However, they may pale in comparison to other (racial) T1 units, for the price.

    What about granting them the same vision range bonus as floating units: +1?
    Then, they could act as spies or sentries and see the enemy just before it sees you.

    I prefer +1 Vision on recruit. Scouts don’t survive to get at least 1st medal.

    Explorer Specialisation gives them +1 vision range with Scout Training.

    To be thoroughful, experienced irregulars can be produced in the end game by any leader, and perhaps sooner for some classes (Rogue?).
