It’s been only… how long? three days? since the beta started and there are soooo many cool things already!

they look cool and very distinct from one another. However, there seems to be something wrong with the dwarves’ cape. Also, can you make dwarven shoulder pieces not green but light brown like the hood?

The cape has a sort of gold paint on it, it looks a bit off because it’s shiny.

As you can see on the top of the image, the shoulder pieces and hood are player colours (I’m not sure why the hood is showing different player colours than the shoulders) so these change according to what colours you have as a leader, I’m not changing those for clarity

Whoa. That’s really awesome. I love your work so far.

    Thanks~

You can run multiple mods at once, so you can run this mod, and a balance mod and it will combine the two, as far as I know.

No need to copy over my stuff, should just work together.

Incase anyone doesn’t understand the playercolours

Here’s Human, High Elf, Dwarf and Draconian all with the same Player/Leader colours, dark gray and orange
So you can see which parts are affected by it (mainly shoulders and the hood for the dwarf)

It’s great! We are very interested in Your attempts to make class units with racial diversity. Comrade Zaskow are our main specialist on finding the balance… if that.

Between yours and Zaskow’s racial diversification mods, I’m not sure which I will end up using, they both look VERY good D:

I can assure you Zaskow will be done way sooner, as he’s just changing (existing) weapons
What I’m doing is a ton of work, changing multiple textures per unit.

But like I said, it’s possible they can both work at the same time.

Tibbles! Как говорят на Руси: одна голова хорошо, но две лучше, а три – Змей Горыныч!

Tibbles, as say in Russia: one head is good, but two are better, and three – is the three-headed fire-breathing dragon!!!

Finding different skins through lists and tweaking positions and size of objects isn’t very easy…

Like Tibbles said, purely cosmetic stuff can be done very very quickly.

If Zaskow starts changing which units get what abilities and what damage they do, it gets longer.

If he starts adding in brand new abilities, longer still.

It’s the easiest thing to do with these mod tools.

Everything else is harder! Wait until you try adding an ability that shows up in game but simply won’t target anything. Took me 24 hrs and Garresh’ video to work out I had set the ability to target things that were both units and walls somehow…

Changing stats and giving ready abilites are far more easier, than cosmetic actions. If you want pretty figures and non-weird animations, of course.

I think tibbles work is the most work, getting brand new textures and stuff…

If I want a new ability, and I don’t have to worry about visuals, it’s only a couple minutes work. Once you have some experience with animations, zaskow’s work will be pretty fast too. Right now, it’s learning that animations that taking most of your time, Zaskow.

I fully support! I think that it’s great when mods complement each other:
the mod from Tibbles + the mod from Zaskow + a mod with new dwellings of old races = the mod of dreams!

That’s some outstanding work, thanks! Now, if I may add a humble petition, can anything be done to the bard wigs? please, for the sake of our sanity :-p

I’m already working on it, I think we all want that, here’s a progress shot:

Some need a bit more scale-tweaking, and I havent touched the textures yet, but it looks better already

Still need to remove the old hair on these two

Tibbles, you’re our saviour. I’m going to use that mod of yours just for the Bards.

That’s fantastic! Really. Have you increased resolution of textures as well?
And can you do something about their fingers (at least by texturing)?

Oh no, I’m not doing that, I’m already adding new textures so I have to work as small as possible (everyone should!!) or lower spec machines might not be able to use the mods, or the game can run of out memory for everyone.

I’ll have a look at the hands, should be fixable in the texture

    #228666

good work Lord Tibbles, it look pretty interesting and shows the possibilities and the artistic skills you possess.

Now I hope you can find some time to comply to your promise, it is after all unforgotten.

Yes, I know. It just looks so much better as if resolution was increased, too. =)
