    Congrats!

    I’m having nerdgasm right now! I love both Paradox and Triumph and I’m really happy with this union. Infact the only game I don’t like is Warlock(s), because I love AoW and Warlock always felt inferior to me.

    Yeah, that’s what is troubling me as well. I think they will be much more useful with the immunity.

    Isn’t Tropical Empire spell a Fire Master spell or am I missing something? Because you only have fire adept here but still have the spell?

    I sent you email with the savegame just now, please take a look when you can.

    Also I’m quite certain that “independent city not becoming a vassal” is indeed a bug, because when I try clicking on that quest in the quest tab, it pops up only for an instant but I can see that I still have to choose either money or vassalage, and I cannot because it is completed…

    Iโ€™ll have to check on Tuesday if thatโ€™s a mistake, or if a beach tactical combat map was never added.

    If not that would be a shame, especially because I think you can just rework “Master Shipyard” combat map for coast combat map (without the structures), and bridge combat map for the riverbank combat map (without the bridge itself ofc).

    Bug: Independent city not becoming a vassal even though I finished the quest – It is marked completed in the quest tab, but they are still not my vassals, and I have an option of buying them.

    Concern: Possible exploit of “Release as Vassal” option – I had 2 elven outposts on their hated terrain, so I released them as vassals 3-4 times now, every time using “it’s time for you to join…” to buy the back, each time gaining +50 aliment and race happiness bonus

    Question: Are there coastal battle location? Every time I fought with one stack on land and other in the watter, a battle was fought on a swampy kind of battle map…

    My game is from GOG, so I canโ€™t try the patch, but Iโ€™m really not sure about giving more goblin units blight damage instead of physical. Is making them even more reliant on a very commonly resisted, or outright ignored, damage type really a good idea?

    They are literally Elven slayers now…

    Yeah, I cannot replicate the bug, if it was the bug at all…

    But I still think the goblins have been buffed too much. For instance tier 1 ork infantry has 10 def with armored, elf infantry 10 def with armored, and goblin 10 def without armored :/

    Can you provide some more details? Were they owned by you or the enemy? Perhaps in Guard Mode?

    I started the game again to take the screenshots, but I couldn’t replicate the bug…
    It was not guard mode, they had no hero in the army, they were recruits only and without buffs… We fought on wetlands, they like that terrain, so maybe something with that?

    Oh, and it was Elven Resurgence scenario, I finally decided to give it a shot ๐Ÿ™‚
    maybe a bug related to that?

    Bug: All goblin units have +2 more defense and resistance than they should have while in combat. For instance Goblin Untouchable have 8 def and 8 res while inspecting details, but in combat 10 def and 10 res…

    And I think you buffed Goblins a little too much overall…

    Happened to me a few times, there is nothing more infuriation than discovering your clone after 100+ turns in game…

    Ofcourse I play against unknown leaders, so I have no idea who I’m playing against, and when I see it’s myself, I just drop the game (like it’s hot).

    Are devs even aware of this bug, is there a topic about this at “Compiled Topic Index”?

    Hmmm, nope found what it was: a corrupted savegame.

    Or at least I think it was. Because funny thing is… there is no savegame anymore (nor the custom leader I created which I was playing in that game, but that has nothing to do with this… right?), and I was only able to load autosave that was on steam cloud or something like that, but when I started a new game to see if it was indeed savegame issue, I lost that savegame as well so now I cannot go back to it ๐Ÿ™‚

    P.S. The newly started game doesn’t appear to have that particular bug, so it must have been only something on my end…

    It was not working like that before, and I missed it somehow while reading patch notes.

    I’m not sure you understood me correctly – when a single stack of enemy units passes trough my domain I get one domain invasion event for every hex it traveled trough while passing trough it…

    So a single random indie decided to pass trough my domain and I get 6 domain invasion notices for that? What if 3-4 enemies decide to take a stroll trough my domain, will I get 20 different events just for that? Why should I care what route they took while passing, I’m only interested in knowing whether they are still in my domain or not, and a single event is sufficient for that…

    Thank you all for your replies, I’m glad this topic is still hot, that means the devs will have to see it sooner or later ๐Ÿ™‚

    #5 .. the reason I actualy logged into the board today, is my own Idea I wanna add. ^^ Since the discussion here is just perfect for it, Iโ€™ll add it here:
    a.) I miss the descriptions of our heroes outstanding personalities and achievements we had in Age of Wonders 2. Really. I was someone who read them, chuckled and liked various heroes more than others because of them. b.) Also Iโ€™d LOVE to be able to write a self-written Avatar-Description for my various avatars, which can be visible in the Avatar Details like the description of any other unit. I know not many players would actualy care and itโ€™s an Underdog-Request, considering many players donโ€™t even change their avatars Name.. but Iโ€™m sure it would increase the feeling of RPG for those players who actualy enjoy creating names, worlds and.. renaming their cities. ๐Ÿ˜€

    This! I actually created not one but two topics for this issue a while ago, and seeing how they didn’t get too much attention I decided not to mention it here again…
    Anyway I’m all up for this idea! Here’s a screenshot of my favorite Ork maiden from AoWSM ๐Ÿ™‚

    To be honest, this would drive me mad. I absolutely never want this XD

    This would be optional, just like unit banners and squad members dying as unit take damage.

    I’m aware some peeps would love this idea, and others would hate it, but as long as you can turn it on/off it would not be a problem for those that hate it, so why not add it if the rest of us would enjoy it? ๐Ÿ™‚

    Specialization spells can add to the uniqueness of heroes but only a bit one-sided because a hero would always have his particular quality in casting spells but never in leadership or combat strength. Why not adding an ability for a hero like the ones Jaduggar suggested as unit specializations:

    My idea is not excluding other ideas for hero customization, it’s just that mine is already there, in the game, and would be quite easy to implement ๐Ÿ™‚

    Found a bug. Not gamebreaking but strange.

    When I hired a new hero, she had 2 items and one of them was being sent from somewhere without the indication when it will arrive.

    I did, and your posts say otherwise. Your old suggestion was to give default racism to the races similar to the older games.

    Actually I would have preferred if the races liked/disliked one another like they were in the AoW2, but what I really wanted was to have any kind of racial happiness depending on your treatment towards the race in question.
    Here’s a random quote of myself from the topic I started (because I like to quote myself :))

    What I would like to see (in the patch, dlc, whatever) is to have racial happiness, with the various factors leading to the overall racial satisfaction with you and your leadership.

    Not like it matters now, seeing how the devs already thought of something even more awesome ๐Ÿ™‚

    They stated that races would not be racist by default, and the โ€œrelationsโ€ would be more tied to your Leaderโ€™s actions against them. Example: Orcs would hate you only if you razed/plundered their villages.

    Which is exactly what I wanted. You can see that if you read my posts more carefully.

    Why that hate? If you played AoW 1 and 2 this shouldn’t be so difficult for you…
    And you are clearly overreacting I managed to finish Golden Realms in just a day or two, and it was relatively easy for me…

    I like to play defensive too, but for the campaigns you have to rush or you will find yourself outnumbered fast. If you don’t want to change your strategies than stick to random battles.
