I don’t have this Beta but I assume same bug exists here. Casting Hide Out spell on a vassal city of yours makes the units of that city invisible to you as well. I am not sure if this is WAD but it looks like a bug to me.

You don’t see their units if they are concealed normally(such as many Frostlings in Arctic), anyway.

This is not a case of units’ normal terrain concealment though. My vassal city is a Halfling city. I could see the units before but after I cast Hide Out they disappeared. It’s my spell so I don’t think this is WAD.

SiaFu, thanks. I tried your suggestion: pressing M once and right-clicking and it works. The unit moves at faster speed. However, it is awkward.

I’d rather have consistent behavior between mouse click and the corresponding hotkey meaning they work the same way: single-right-clicking or pressing M once => unit moves at normal speed, double-right-clicking or double-pressing-M => unit moves at faster speed.

I also use simultaneous mode (I play SP). I feel the OP’s pain as it is almost impossible to act faster than the AI but like another poster said once you accept the fact that you’ll pretty much go last like in classic turns it becomes easier to swallow.

I want to reiterate a wish of mine about the M hotkey. I use the M hotkey frequently to coordinate my movements. Unfortunately, it uses to normal unit animation speed. However, when you double-click with the mouse to move a unit, it moves at the faster animation speed. Can we make the M hotkey work the same (double-press M moves the unit at faster animation speed)?

I asked for this at least twice but got no response whatsoever. Is there a technical reason why this can’t be done?

Huge patch update notes again. Amazing.

If you didn’t do this already, could you please make the “m” hotkey do fast-animation movement on double keypress just like it happens when you double click the right-mouse button?

I often plan multi-turn movements and this would be a great improvement over trying to double click the right spot on the map.

    Thanks!

    Amazing patch notes. Super excited.

Can I ask for a simple improvement for the patch? When I select a stack and double-click a location with the mouse, the stack walks there in fast animation. I really like that as it saves time. Can you implement the same thing for the M (move) keyboard shortcut? That is: move in fast animation when I double-click M key.

    Thanks a lot!

@bandc You can press space bar to skip the cutscene at the beginning of a battle. :)

Thanks JPoll. I know about the space bar short cut. The thing is I do this dozens of time every time I play. I think it deserves an option to by pass that.

    1) An option to by pass the cut scene into the tactical battle screen and an option to set the default speed to 3x. It gets old to press space bar and set the speed to 3x manually for every single battle.

In advanced settings in game setup, check force high speed tactical combat. Your request was implemented a while back.

Hmm I’m playing the Campaign and I didn’t see that. I’ll check again. Does it also do the skip cut scene?

These changes look great. I was always annoyed that you couldn’t see a leader’s skills from the diplomacy screen.

I have two simple requests for the patch:

    1) An option to by pass the cut scene into the tactical battle screen and an option to set the default speed to 3x. It gets old to press space bar and set the speed to 3x manually for every single battle.

    2) When you double-click with the mouse at the spot where a unit is ordered to go, it goes there in fast motion. I want the same thing to happen when I press M twice quickly so that the movement order gets executed in fast animation.

These two simple improvements would increase my gameplay satisfaction greatly.

    Thanks.

Can we add a column to the city list tab that shows the number of units each city has garrisoned so we can see whether every city that we have is defended and it is not taken by a lone unit? On a big map it’s kinda hard to check whether we have all cities defended. This would help with that.

Can you give an example so we can understand how this will work?

Ex: Goblin Theocrat gets 3 earth spheres from race 2 from specialization etc.

I know the specifics would change I’m just trying to understand how skills are embedded in main classes, how specializations work etc.
