    Tibbles has made some of the best mods – we’ve highlighted them before. This list is about newer mods for 2016 – We want to call them out as they aren’t at the top of the Steam Workshop popularity lists.

    The PBEM and Single Player Balance Mod *does* look very interesting – we’ll highlight it at a later stage!

    Triumph is hard at work on an exciting new project. It’s big, so it will be while before we announce. All I can say is (before the payment is made) that it will be of great interest to the Age of Wonders community.

    You could take a character, add the Ice ball to the model via the Content Editor and then make the original characters’ materials invisible.

    Hi, Could it be you are using a rig that is not matching the animations? For example putting humanoid aninimations on a wisp won’t work.

    Otherwise you could put a link somewhere for us to check out.

    Turn 6 Lord Penguin

    Finally, the stars indicate a probably victory against the neighbors of clan Borndhal.
    I decide to manually take control over the battle. Unfortunately one of my mammoths perishes in its attempts to break down the stone city wall. The 6 ranged defenders concentrate their fire on the gentle giant. I could have tried to have my hero Theo absorb the mammoth’s damage, but with its low defense and massive amount of hit points Theo likely wouldn’t have survived this kind gesture of this living doo-gooder.
    One mammoth rider is a small price to pay for the walled city of Borndhal. Deciding who lives and who dies (again) is all in a day’s work of Lord Penguin.

    But I’m in a cheerful mood, this big city is a great addition to my Nordic realm , and I already have found a second city to set my sights on. They have quest available. For now I’ll play along.

    Creating an ingame player is a quite a bit of work, while most players can just mute the volume and use a playlist in an external player.

    There’s also some legal gray ground; licenses for mp3/audio middleware explicitly forbid the creation of a music player.

    @desmondvang We hear you, the situation is not ideal. But let me explain – the costs of making a Linux build available DRM free is much higher than doing this via Steam for us. This is because we do not have the Steam Linux SDK to rely on, which contains standardized system DLLs. Without these we have a massive job in additional code, licensing, quality assurance and support. The full magnitude of these costs became clear later on in the porting process.

    Then there is the added cost of maintaining and distributing the frequently updated DRM free builds along with the expansions.

    The costs would be totally out of whack compared to the # of users.

    Yeah they are derived from sampling user accounts. So not fully accurate, but a reasonable impression.

    We’re sorry, but GoG currently just carries the Windows version.
    When Galaxy hits this might change.
    The issue is managing all the builds with updates in a DRM free environment.

    Yep – we rebalanced the original campaigns for V1.5. With the new AI some maps provide to have become impossible 🙂 (some AIs were set to Emperor, even for Normal difficulty). New core systems such as vassals work in the old campaigns.

    Also we’ve included a system that spawns helper to compensate for losses in the early game on the easier difficulty levels. This also works in the RMG.

    @unknown250 – Have to admit that when we set out to design the campaign, we didn’t know yet Rogue would be the most tricky to play. However the 1st Elven Court Mission should be winnable for everyone on the lower difficulties.

    Lord Penguin had a couple of distractions in another dimension. More Minions to command for grand projects. But rest assured the search for the fabled aquatic bird has continued.

    Our lost souls have herded a camp of refugees to my capital. The ghouling process is quick, we usually trick new arrivals to drink some infested water form the corrupted wells in our cities.

    My army marches further, Theo is on his way to join so we can conquer some towns.

    There has been some other progress, the embalmers’ build has completed and I can now build an army of stronger Undead. The refugees more than compensate for the bodies that perished during the hurried production. The morale of the Ghoul population didn’t take a dent

    Hmm, I should consider transferring my Necromantic powers to the other dimension. Would make certain things a lot easier. Mwuhahaha. 🙂

    Yep, content lock means we’re working towards a solid, polished build to be released. Only critical bugs are fixed at this point. We’ve learned the hard way that small, seemingly low-risk last minute fixes can break bigger systems.

    Note Eternal Lords isn’t the end, feedback and suggestions will be processed for post release updates.

    Lord Penguin Turn 3

    As I suspected, the Frostling town is strongly defended. Six ranged units, one of them a White Witch, cower behind wall of massive granite. Of course I could have won using my often documented Penguin skills, but the damage to my fragile ghoul units would be high, and would it take long to patch survivors up at this point in my necromantic career.

    Still feeling a need for some deathbringing, I decide to visit the camp of Brigands just a couple of steps back. I use the Frost Witch to enchant one my Mammoth Riders with Frozen Flame and order him to charge forward and break the encampment’s fences. My first freeze attempts with the Snow Scapers fail. My Mammoths might seem like bulky monsters, but the crossbows of these scoundrels pierce the fatty skin like butter, doing an alarmingly high amount of damage.

    After my Mammoth breaks through the fence we’re quickly done with them though. Freeze. Trample. Die. Before we kill the last one I practice my Raise Corpse ability, so I can keep one brigand as a crawling souvenir.

    Turn3-3

    I found a Halfling farmer kept prisoner in the camp. The shivering midget can’t stand the cold and clearly has some reservations about joining my party. His chicken makes a fine de-maggoting tool though. Passing by the Frostling Town, I continue the north. With my unspent casting points, I begin summoning a lost soul to herd the refugees to my capital. Theo is making his way back up again.

    Looks very cool. Ray is a big fan Sloth as well. He proposed the Doom Sloth though as as an idea for dwelling monsters.

    The Doom Sloth is very slow and very deadly. Its dead eyes will steal your soul, but they have a random chance of being asleep, which makes them a frustrating unit to try to control, as they will occasionally just fall asleep on you.

    We didn’t want automatic paths for core race units, because in AoW3 clime plays such an important role. e.g It would be very frustrating if the player has to defend a Draconian town using Ice Queens, for example. And it would be OP in other situations.

    So we gave the The Ice Queen Last Rite of Winter, which spawns it in a radius after the player activates a world map ability.
