Good luck and have fun with 7 classes * 9 races = 63 combinations 🙂
Is it possible to make “zombie” survival – as in there is only you as player, but unit spawners and cosmic event spawns units of higher and higher tier?
For example Tier I only in first 50 turn
Tier 2 appear after 50th turn
Tier 3 – 100th turn
and Tier 4 – after 150th turn?I’d do it much faster – something like 0/10/25/50 for Tier 1/2/3/4 – otherwise it’s going to be pretty easy to just hold the fort forever.
Well can it scale with growth speed?
On lowest resource setting and slowest growth it can take a while when you will get class T4s.
Most likely you would have a lot of racial T3 and dwelling T4 before you get to class T4Is it possible to make “zombie” survival – as in there is only you as player, but unit spawners and cosmic event spawns units of higher and higher tier?

I have GOG version, so how to get it from steam workshop?
August 27, 2015 at 06:54 in reply to: How to make effective choke points at surface/underground entraces with T1/T2? #224809Hmm, so only surrounding underground entraces with 6 stacks of T3/T4 would effectively work?
If you blocked this from underground by surrounding it, only single stack would be able to attack it.Isn’t that bit too low for T4?
Hmm so basically 15/15 defence elemental “please duck off from my city” / “I will make you miserable, even if you are a T4” city siege unit?
Sounds pretty good 🙂I wonder if that unit would be considered a T1 in shadow realm :p
August 26, 2015 at 21:36 in reply to: Is it possible to have hero with 100% of protection on all 6 damage channels? #224708it’s not really viable outside of messing around. the closest i’ve heard of was this:
http://aow.triumph.net/forums/topic/guide-for-become-very-powerful/
Hmm what about slower mode with AI on high difficultly, so there is generally more battles?
Shame there is no random map generator, because I would make underground entrances surrounded in stone walls at 5 sides – making them essentially choke points.August 26, 2015 at 21:06 in reply to: Is it possible to do >100 HP of any damage channel with right units and spells? #224703Mana Core also hits hard together with Skin of Oil spamming, well in the 100s against Frostlings. With Storm magic I think it can reach around 160-180 damage or so with Skin of Oil against Frostlings.
Sounds like perfect recipe for tasty Frostling Manticores 😀
BTW I sent dreadnought spybombers to explode entire stacks of armies with destabilized mana core even without Destruction Mastery 😀
August 26, 2015 at 20:52 in reply to: Is it possible to do >100 HP of any damage channel with right units and spells? #224697I’m pretty sure if you had Dreadnought Destruction Master with Wild Adept you could deal more than 100 HP of fire damage to most vulnerable units.
how do you figure this?
flame tank does 25 fire damage. so to make it be 100 you’d need a 300% weakness.
Well you can use Fire Mastery/Dreadnought ultimate spell and get 100 HP of fire damage on frostlings :p
August 26, 2015 at 20:50 in reply to: Is it possible to do >100 HP of any damage channel with right units and spells? #224696Shame there is no all spells cheats – I would play with these :p
So if you have destruction mastery and get fire mastery as reward for researching all skills you can just burn everyone with plasma, and then smite survivors with spirit laser
Hmm then could it have 50 HP, 24 movement points, like 20 resistance and defense.
And 20% of protection in every channel of damage, 1/1/1/1/1/1 melee attack – basically scratching and short ranged attack only. And some inflict X doesn’t work against machines, so machines would be kinda nice counter.
Well it would to ranged damage just like cosmic rifle item, and 2x more damage as melee.
To balance it I would make it like one of most expensive units as in mana maintenance.hmmm making something very very expensive doesn’t directly balance the unit, you might want to also give it a very big setback, like a low movement.
Like 20 movement points?
That would make unit a mighty glacier. And nothing is more OP than spydrone and Fire Mastery/Dreadnought ultimate fire bomb – I was annihilating stacks upon stacks of enemies on last scenario of loyalist Commonwealth campaign.
While this pisses off civilians, its safe to use on middle of field.I probably will make Chaos Elemental – Tier IV elemental, that you can get as secret summon, and as Wild Summon Elemental summon with really low chance.
It would have relatively low damage, but it would have all inflict X abilities in their attack.
And it would have 80% protection in all damage channels. So an extreme tank Lord notme? you should give it physical damage channel then, but sound like a interesting, but extremely overpowered unit

You can always give him very tough sidekicks to heal him or have Keepers adept and saveguard :p
Does anyone actually played with hero like this?
Hmm I know Dragons dwelling have Frost/Fire/Spirit breath 20 dmg points each.
Also you can get Naga tier IV unit that has Poison breath doing same amount of damage.
Shock breath seems to be unique for Eldrith Horror. So sorcerers with Wild Mastery can be masters of elements easily.
Warlords while doing mainly physical at early game can suddenly be masters of elements with Wild adept and their ultimate spell at end game.August 25, 2015 at 21:35 in reply to: Is it possible to have hero with 100% of protection on all 6 damage channels? #224461Hmmm nice 🙂
So that hero could solo 6 stacks tier IV units.
On other hand there are spells, that induce weakness for some channels, but you could counter some of them with sturdiest classes like Warlord.
With hero upgrades and Forge items I could get 20% physical, 100% spirit/blight/frost and 80% fire/shock damage protection on Dwarf Warlord – warlords seems to have most of elemental resistances.Hence the first line as disclaimer.
Physical/Blight/Spirit is rare, but exists on the Eldritch Horror at the very least, maybe on the Watcher to? Anyway, that’d be Sorc, which has Fairy Fire apprentices as well as Star Blades(low level spell that adds melee fire/frost/shock channel)
Hmm that setup of damage I gave was just example.
It could be 3 units each doing ABC and 3 others doing ABC
Or 3 pairs doing AB, CD, and EF where each A,B,C,D,E,F is type of damage.
So what racial/dwelling/class/specializatio units are best for doing following types of damage:
-Physical
-Fire
-Spirit
-Blight
-Frost
-Shock
–English isn’t my first language BTW.
i don’t fully understand the question, but you could cast starblades on a theocrat-hero-with-sacred-arms led big beetle to get every element in a single attack
Cool, or I can find cosmic rifle. At least now I know how to get whole rainbow of damage on single unit.
How to create stack of units, that can do whole rainbow of damage in early game?
Shame there is no table where I could sort units by amount of damage in each channel, or I would search myself for units to compose elemental armies.
I wouldn’t call it “Best Strategy”, since it’s not gonna be strongest, but it seems like you have two easy options:
Summon Lesser Elemental: One elemental of every kind. Can possible replace elementals with other units, like a strong hero for the earth elemental.
Go Frostling Shadowborn Master Necro. Frostling Royal Guards have Physical and Frost at base, get Shock damage from Shadowborn, get Fire Damage from White Witches, Spirit Damage from Stylite, and Blight Damage from Power Ritual. At Elite Rank they’ll be 13/7/2/2/2/2, with Phys/Frost/others in that order(and with Life Drain, if the right RG upgrade has been chosen).
Hmm I already know about that spell, but it is bit slow at beginning.
And I meant stack of units.
For example 3 units having fairy fire (was it Frost/Fire/Shock?) and 3 others doing Physical/Blight/Spirit damage.Or another example:
Every stack of best units specialized in certain types of damage:
One just hitting hard as they can, other terrorizing armies with bolts, another baking enemies and so on. -
