    I would have enjoyed it much more if I didn’t have to play those horrible hobbits.
    The luck mechanism is very unsatisfying imho.

    ok that’s gonna sound weird but can someone explain to me what’s going on in this campaign?
    i like to do things in order, so before i start the frostling one; i wanted to know what the halflings’s story is about.
    But playing the hobbits is above me. Really guys, I tried. Many times.
    I just can’t. Using farmers to throw chickens? Giving booze to your units? A PONEY rider?
    No. Just no.
    And when i saw my halfling berserker get smashed by a wild boar cause he did not get his lucky thing, I just alt-f4 and smoked a whole pack of cigarettes.

    Obvioulsy you’d have to put some spoiler warning.

    hey just two things i can add, i’m no expert either so wait for the better players

    -dracs makes decent rogue, cause you can turn their flyers into insane backstabber. even better when they reach gold medal. not rare to see them take out two archers/supports by themselves. you can also cast skin of oil on the big guy, have an elder boost your flyer and boom. if you can get heart of the volcano it’s just delightful.
    Also the fast healing is nice for your assassins stack who are on hunting missions.

    -sphinxes don’t get the movement bonus from explorer 🙁 sad but it would be a tad too much so it’s understandable. they still make insane rogue though, and the more fun to play (best assassins by far) in my opinion.
    I like to go grey guard with them, cause the crit bonus stack with the last racial governance.

    -tigrans also makes very nice druid. not only for the famous werebear thing (still awesome despite it’s recent nerf) but for the synergy with web/entangle and coup de grace. Really sweet.

    They’re nice siege units now.

    confirming they come out straight as baby stalkers yes.
    please don’t change that ^^

    in my experience (i only play solo) stealth works great against warlord/dreadnought, especially late game, cause the ia will focus on machines/melee units and barely build any supports.
    Useless against mage/druid cause of the apprentice/shaman spam.

    i totally agree. warlord should not get that much mobility. It’s not his perk.
    100% convinced that manticore should be removed from the warlord roster (and so should warbreed) and get instead a non flying unit.
    You can put the manticore back in the t4 racial mod that someone will probably come up with..

    that’s an excellent idea, i love it. shapeshifting is a classic for any druid-like units, would fit perfectly and make other races other than elves or tigrans more interesting to play with ad. very exciting.
    also did i have to read 3 pages of ranting about a certain spell cause some dude outplayed some other dude online? gah

    assassins get pas wall with dark pact, and sprint if you’re a tigran with rg.
    kind of redundant.
    more diversity always good, like the idea

    one i’ve been abusing lately, especially for late game epic sieges:
    -find a shrine of scarlet destroyer
    -have a stack of 6 cheap disposable scouts (wisps or crows are the best) ready.
    -make’em pay respects to the Holy Fire
    -rush them to the gates/archers/trebuchets
    -boom

    with rogue explorer + racial upgrade you can pump out baby stalkers every turn.
    but yes very classe/race specific.

    well now that support heroes have different abilities, some can get even more deadly you can chose a particular one.
    i like : shira the bard, tigran rogue with minor bard skills (very good assassins squad leader).
    Xor thi something, draconian druid with fire aura (gets insane once regrowth is here)

    There more but defintely two of my favorites (i can remember some necro with petrifying touch 😮 )

    it’s nowhere near op and like you said yourself only useful in large scale combat, which shouldn’t happen too often if you’re playing rogue the way it should.

    Hey one small thing that bothers with msu.
    most of the racial t3 units can be boosted by msu, but it an unfair way.
    for example, the ice queen could in theory benefit from 3 upgrades (hell 4 !), whereas a draconian flyer gets nothing at all, except for an earlier killing momentum.
    It’s actually the only racial t3 in that case, and it makes me sad.
    Solution would be the change his gold medal, or add more msu (for flying units, animals)
    Or both.

    i use sometimes and it seems to work ok on the ia.
    i could see his machines wander around, looking for something.
    But maybe that’s just cause the ia is dumb now that I think of it..

    Anyways I want to second something that’s been said.
    Bards should be able to keep up, in some measure, with assassins.
    Assassins need the happiness bonus to score crits, which is essential in their games.
    It seems most of people (me include) use them mainly in defense.
    But I see bards as travelers, able to cover long distance. Plus giving them little skill to get cheaper units at inns would fit, cause that’s what bards do right?
    Oh please when mod tools come out, someone change their appearance please. Having a maid in my army just feels…hum..

    Race/class system is perfectly fine by now for me.
    The real flaws are elsewhere imo (t3, t4 spam. especially in xl maps).

    Agreed. That’s what matters the most.
    New expansion did well in that way and I’d love to see even more in the future.
