Maybe if you capture a throne city you should get a clue at least in the direction of the leader. This could be like you take over the city or even raze it but when you do you ask the people there “hey where’s the leader at?”

Some intel from the city should be given.

@justinmullin and the Wikia guys: great stuff!!!

Absolutely fine to use Age of Wonders content for these type of fan projects.
Perhaps making the book a bit bigger would make it even easier to use? :-)

I’ll ask the tech guys to see if they can offer some advice on the tech issues.

It would be best if Triumph put this up themselves on this very site, linked the latest updated game data.

What comes from the Cursed Egg?

If you eat a cursed egg you might end up with the cursed squirts.

Ice Age is right. Every builder is capable of building roads and there is no tech required.

What you do is click on the blue button under the builder with the arrows and select the third option which says ‘build a road’. After you selected ‘build a road’ you move your builder in the direction you want to build a road by using the right click. Your builder will move along this path and leave a road behind. If you want to build more road you will have to repeat this process.

I’ll take a look when I get home, if this is how it’s done then I have to say wow that’s super clunky.

You’ll actually have to research a tech called “Roads” before you can build them with the builder unit.

I don’t see that tech listed in the tome of wonders, what are the prerequisites to researching it because I haven’t seen it so far either in my list of stuff to research. I can’t believe the ability to build roads is this hidden.

You can go for research stalling and you should because the transition to late game is too fast but , once the critical point is reached , the mass T4 is there again.

“T4 should be powerfull and rare” tombles said somewhere.

Then I would suggest a global cooldown shared by all T4 means of production. Say you can only build one T4 per 10 turn whatever the means.
If you are carefull you can still get a very late game uberstack on uber late game maps but then they would have to be precious.
It s not an hardcap , so it is quite simple to understand for everyone. It just slows down the arrival of any full T4 army by at least 50 turn , and that s only if you don’t go fighting against the other T4 from an opponent. So yeah they will be rarer and they will tend to kill each other making them even more rarer.

One can argue it turns late game objective into ‘the one who protects is T4 the most wins’ but that s not a bad late game challeng imho.

Seems simple enough and solves it all or am I overlooking something ?

Make T4s come from a spell, that you can only cast every 10 turns.

Or a building that you build, then it will produce a T4 every 10 turns for you. You can’t directly build a T4, but as long as you have a city with one of those buildings it will reward you with a T4. That would lead to strategy to dearly protect your own city(ies) that produce T4s or make battle plans to take out your opponents T4 city.

So Millenials who don’t mind “the man” controlling them should stick with Steam and Gen X and older who value actually owning something they buy and freedom should go with GoG. Got it!
