Introducing the Rogue Leader Class + Video

“Rogue Lords are masters of stealth, manipulation and theft. Any foolish citizen who makes trouble, disappears without a whisper in the middle of the night. Rogues employ charm, poison, assassinations, and the magic of the shadows to appease their subjects and manipulate rival leaders. Rogues have two faces: one they wear in public, while the other is a ruthless schemer behind closed doors, directing sinister forces that wait in shadow for the perfect moment to strike.” —“Gifted Lords of the Third Age” – by Ralinstone Pedant, Chronicler

I think the passive ability –Sadism must be renamed to Blood lust
because it will be like with witch-herbalist change
some words just don’t cut into

I have to disagree with you.
With blood lust i think of a warrior or barbarian rushing towards the battlefield in a state of rage. Now when i think of sadism, especially coupled with the icon they seem to use for the skill, i picture a rogue stabbing you in the back, twisting the knife to inflict maximum amount of pain and actually enjoying it.

That’s why, imo, sadism is much more suited for the rogue.

The problem with sadism would be that it is not moraly ambigiuous. If your rogue is a sadist he’s basically evil. No pretending that he is a nice freedom fighter supporting person.

Dwarven succubi? What the…, I don’t even… “You had me at chain mail <3<3<3 XOXOXO”

    🙂

Plus, with those beards we’ll avoid the AoW2 nymph controversy, ehem…

As a proud sexual sadist I’m offended at the suggestion that being a sadist is evil. Lots of Sadists find ways to express it in a healthy and consentual way. Nothing wrong with S&M.

I was wondering if Rogue leaders can use elements of the Succubus in thier avatar?

I was just watching Lost Girl and it occured to me a Rogue Elf “aka a Fey Succubus” could be fun to play, call her Bo, with Lauren, Kenzi, Hale, Dyson, Trick, Vex, and Tamsin heroes.

To Keldaros you use word bloodlust on battlefield .
When some dark race inflicts pain in to someone in torture chambers then it is called sadism

Don’t you have the feeling that the game is Pegi 16 ?

all above does just not cut ,alas.
As an intilligent person would advice : exchange the word
    Sadism
    with words
    Revel-in-pain

There is a difference between what two sane, healthy consenting adults do and to what sadism describes in relevance to this game.

In fact, you can have the case of good soldiers fighting against evil creatures in which case sadism might not appear as evil as it can be when it is gratuitous.

And we are talking about a rogue, not a pure good merciful paladin.

And if the classes can be as good as evil, there’s no reason not to have both kind of competences anyway.

The beauty that I see in the Rogue class is that although Dark Elves do not exist in the same way as before anymore, Rogue class will help me revive them. This makes me think… do the units or the cities or the races at all look any different depending on the different allignment they may achieve?

It would be even better if you could costumize your unit’s race (I’m talking about skin color, not a different species) to show Dark Elves if you pick High Elves and go for the evil side ^_^

But just like WoW never allowed you to play a Dark Iron Dwarf, I suppose the same will occur here 🙂 It’s hard enough already to make this game polished and perfect.

Stealthed units AND CITY’S? That can never let you down.. i know where my eyes will be focussed on! Its just the feeling of having an advantage on everyone. You can hit what you can see.. but you can’t hit what you can’t see 😉

As far as I understand you can do that!
